Fun, Fun, Fun

We have had a great time working on our throwing skills. Please encourage your child to step out with the foot opposite to the hand they throw with. This enables them to keep good balance while moving.
The students rotated to six different stations to practice their throwing skills. They practiced with plastic horseshoes, throwing a rubber pig at a ball on a cone, throwing a rubber fish to knock down bowling pins, throwing a rubber frog at empty coke bottles, and throwing a ball and a rubber chicken into a clothes basket. What a great time they had.
The 4th and 5th graders worked on their throwing skills also. Then they had a great time playing Toliet Tag to increase their heartrate.

Loads of Fun!

We have had so much fun in Physical Education the past couple of weeks. I made a few videos which include our activity of "Skunk Tag, "Dice and Cones", and "Satelite Ball." We have learned levels and speeds along with pathways.

Open House and Stuff

We had open house at North Coffee not long ago. So many families came out to see our school, meet teachers, and participate in activities in the gymnasium. I had a table of freebies, had a drawing for a free basketball and jump ropes. I also had Dance, Dance, Revolution. The students had a great time with it.
This is one of the images that had to follow on Dance, Dance Revolution. They had to follow the arrows that appeared on the screen. Here are a few pics of Mrs. Sarah and her pre-k kiddos and Mrs. Grissom's class doing their 10 minutes of walking.
We have also had a great book fair this past week. We had Donuts for Dads, family night, and grandparents day. We had a lot of visitors, it was such a pleasure seeing everyone purchase a book for our students.
