The month of February has been a very busy time for our students at North Coffee. We have been participating in Jump Rope for
Heart and Hoops for
Heart. We have raised money to help the American
Heart Association with research. The students are awarded prizes based on the amount earned.
We have also played many games to increase our
heart rate. We have discussed the importance of having a healthy
heart.....It's as easy as 1 , 2, 3, Eat Healthy Stuff, Move Around Enough, and Live Tobacco Free! Below we are playing hamburger relay. We were waiters and waitresses. We ran the relay walking, jogging, and running. They had to carry the hamburger on the tray in front of their bodies, up in the air with one hand, and on their head. If they dropped the hamburger, they had to do three jumping jacks. They LOVED it. Some many laughs......
